About

What We Do

I work in the private sector, providing expert care and treatment for easel paintings, frames, and architectural paintings such as painted ceilings, wall murals, and decorative panels.

I offer a comprehensive service, including:

  • Conservation: Preserving artworks by stabilising their condition and halting further deterioration

  • Restoration: Reintegrating damaged or lost areas to restore visual coherence and legibility for the viewer

Each artwork is approached with individual care, guided by ethical principles and informed by technical analysis.

We treat a wide range of artworks, including:

  • Easel paintings on canvas, wood panel, or board

  • Wall paintings and murals on plaster

  • Polychrome objects and gilded frames

My experience spans artworks from various periods, with a focus on 18th, 19th, and 20th-century paintings.

Approach

From light surface cleaning to complex structural repairs—such as lining, consolidation, or reintegration—each treatment is tailored to the specific needs of the piece.

I begin with a preliminary assessment and series of tests to determine the most suitable and minimally invasive methods, always aiming to extend the life of your artwork while respecting its integrity.

I offer on-site consultations and a collection service within [your specified mileage radius]. This allows me to carry out detailed testing in our workshop and provide a precise time and cost estimate.
