About

Agathe Habold

Agathe Habold holds a Master’s degree in the Conservation of Easel Paintings, earned in France in 2014. Her conservation career has taken her across Europe, with experience in Grenoble (France), The Hague (The Netherlands), Oslo (Norway), and the Highlands of Scotland.

She has worked nationally for major institutions, including the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) and the Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research (NIKU), where she contributed to the care of state collections and public artworks.

Agathe moved to Scotland in 2014 and has made the Highlands her home. Since then, she has worked in and around Inverness for Alder Arts Gallery in Beauly, and as a freelance conservator for private clients, estates, and local institutions—including The Coul House Hotel, Skibo Castle, and Dingwall Museum, among others.

In 2020, she established her own conservation practice, building on years of experience and local engagement. Her workshop is located next to her home, allowing for greater flexibility and balance with family life.

Agathe offers a collection service within the Inverness area, providing convenient access to conservation treatments for clients across the region.
